Sure Achieve Microgeneration Stamp of Approval for Solar Thermal Hotwater Systems
After months of hard work Sure Group has secured certification as an accomplished
Microgeneration Installer. This means that Sure is authorised to design, supply, install, set to
work, commission and handover Solar Thermal Hotwater Systems.
Simon Marsh, Development Director of Sure, and Melvin Cragg, Account Manager led the Sure
Group application process, supported by Neville Williams. When asked about the certification,
Simon said "A key priority for Sure Group is to identify products and services that can help to
reduce impact on the environment. Gaining approval meant going through a very rigorous
process, but reaching the high standards required are critical, and endorses our focus on quality."
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is owned by the department for Energy and
Climate Change (DECC) and is designed to evaluate products and installers against robust
criteria for microgeneration technologies, providing greater protection for consumers and
ensuring that the Government's (i.e. taxpayers) grant money is spent in an effective manner.
Sure have already installed Solar Thermal Hotwater Systems on behalf of Golden Gates
Housing and are now expanding the accreditation to include Air Source Heat Pump and
Photos Voltaic technologies.
